2012 Ford Focus Review



all-new 2012 Ford Focus goes on sale in early 2011. Ford Motor Company announced an upcoming Focus on the January 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

2012 Focus C-sized small car packed with new technologies, new powertrains and new customer features, some of which are offered by other cars in this class. This is a huge market segment, which accounts for 2 million units of production each year, including Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Mazda 3 and the upcoming Chevrolet Cruze.Fokus was a huge success for Ford since its initial launch in 1998, selling more than 9.2 million vehicles worldwide from manufacturing facilities in Germany, Russia, Spain, Philippines, China, South Africa, and Vietnam.

In the U.S., the focus will be available in five-door, four-door sedan version. In Europe, the Focus is also available as a three-door, including a 300-hp RS models.

The new Focus will be built around a brand new Ford facility, starting with an all-aluminum 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that has a Denso direct fuel injection system and TiVCT, two independent time variable camshafts, two features that, taken together, provide a very smooth idle with high horsepower and torque numbers, as well as excellent fuel economy and emissions performance, the figures do not reveal at this time. The initial output of 155 horsepower figures are 145-foot pounds of torque using a very high compression ratio 0:01, before only suitable for racing engines.
